Marks st162 celica

Marks crazy example of what you can do to the plain looking ST162 Celica is definitely worth a look!
What started out as a few basic mods, like a bit of extra boost and an exhaust, turned into a unique custom vehicle that I’m sure we can all relate to.

After the standard ECU killed the first engine, we recommended an EMS Dualsport (early ECU) replacement. That greatly improved performance and fuel economy, but as we all know, once the bug has started we can never have enough!
So out came the engine for a full build up, whilst the car went to Siva Auto Paint & Panel at Geebung to get some mild panel damage repaired. Mark needed little convincing from Johnny at Siva to do a full respray and retro fit some R33 Skyline tail lights.

It wasn't too long before the engine was back in with some very impressive results.
Over the next 2 years the car saw several addons like, high-flow turbo, custom exhaust manifold and more R&D on the engine components. One of the best improvements came from an ARE water-to-air intercooler. This allowed for more consistent tuning and higher boost settings.

Unfortunately Mark has since sold the car. The engine is now in a GT4 GroupA Celica and is undergoing similar R&D. At least the power behind the mask will live on!
